gerund or present participle: up-cycling
1. reuse (discarded objects or material) in such a way as to create a product of higher quality or value than the original.

Up-cycling is a great way to save yourself a few dollars. One man's trash is another man's treasure. Not only does up-cycling save you money, but it's better for our environment. The less that goes to landfill, the better.

Up-cycling can also be a great creative outlet with satisfying results. Take an old chest of draws, give it a lick of paint and I guarantee you will happy with yourself and the results.

It's no secret that I am one of Pinterest's biggest fans! If you're familiar with Pinterest you know that when you search, pages and pages of results come up. You will also know that an innocent 'quick' look can turn into a time-sucking vortex. After you log in, you look at the clock and wonder where the last 3 hours of your life went. To save you from this, I have spent hours, weeding out the bad, to bring you 10 simple, but amazing ideas.
