With Mother's Day around the corner I thought I would pay a little tribute to my Mum & acknowledge the years of hard work she has dedicated to be a great mother to myself, & my brother. I wanted to do so by interviewing her & asking her some questions about her journey through motherhood.
What is the most rewarding part of being a Mum? Having watched you two grow into contented & successful adults.
Did Torrey & I turn out how you expected / anticipated? Yes, even better!
What did you carry on from your Mum when raising us? Unconditional love.
Why did you choose to be with Dad? There are so many reasons, I am just trying to give you a succinct one: because he is happy, consistent, loving, kind & generous.
Looking back, would you do anything differently as a Mum? I would be more relaxed if I knew that things were going to turn out this well.
In which ways do you think you & I are similar? We are similar in a lot of ways actually, um, I notice them & then it fleets away. Um, we're artistic, loyal, loving, does that sound good? Haha. Do you think that's right?
In which ways do you think you & I differ? You are methodical, organised & a minimilist, I am not particularly any of those. I actually am, just not in the same way. Except i'm not a minimilist.
When I am a Mum, which of your Motherly traits should I carry over when raising my children? Unconditional love.
Mother's Day is just around the corner (not this Sunday, but next). I want to say happy Mother's Day to all you Mums out there & happy Mother's Day to my Mum, a HUGE thank you for everything you do for me, love you!
